Okay, So I live in a city about 45 minutes from Vancouver, Canada. Lets talk about the Housing Market in Vancouver for a second - one word YIKES! I mean how do people afford to buy these little old nothing houses with 2 bedrooms and a bathroom, that has a hole big enough you can see into the basement and they want half a million dollars. Common' Vancouver is gorgeous and all but so is the rest of the province. Step foot outside anywhere in this province and you won't be complaining about the view.
How was I going to afford in this kind of Real Estate Market? I did something I really didn't imagine happening when it did happen, I bought a Condo! or I should be saying WE, my boyfriend and myself were able to purchase a 1 Bedroom plus Den Condo which wasn't the most appealing place on the map of condo shopping. Walking in to see the gaudy paint colours was just, yuck! But it suited what we saw as potential, boy does it ever fit the mold for potential.
I didn't even care at the viewings if the cupboards were falling off or it was coloured in 70's wallpaper. I wanted to own and I wanted to own now! With just finishing school with a large amount of Student Loans, I didn't exactly have "Give me a Mortgage" stamped all over my forehead with the amount of student loans I am/was carrying. Luckily it was able to happen and the cards were in our favour!

Can it look any narrower in the living room?
It hurts my eyes to see such unique cupboard colours be paired with opposite coloured appliances.
Felt like a hospital in there. No personality at all.

It has great bones! I can see all it's potential!
I want to share with you as I go along and make the changes I want to on an extremely low budget. Lets not forget that student loan I have. I have a strong vision and I really hope I can capture it! Please share any comments or ideas with me. I love a good suggestion to any project!
